ranches Renovation Projects
There are virtually an unlimited number of options available when you are considering renovating your home. In fact there are so many that it’s easy to get carried away with it. There are a few projects in particular which are more popular than the others.
A typical ranches has an asymmetrical exterior and is a single story structure commonly in a rectangular or occasionally an L shape. If your home isn’t already in an L shape then you could consider extending it in order to get yourself more space.
Most rancheses are decorated with simple wood panelling on the walls, stone fireplaces, built in storage, and picture windows so you can view the beautiful garden. When renovating your ranches home it is a good idea to use natural wood where possible, although this is quite expensive it’s certainly worth it. It not only makes it look better, but it also makes your home more valuable.
There are people that buy a ranches home in poor condition, renovate it and sell it on for a profit. The people that make the most money will be those that implement good improvements. There are also people that renovate their own ranches home that they just happen to sell, these are two very different types of houses and you should be careful when deciding.
There are hundreds of houses out there, by presenting yours in the best way possible it will make yours more desirable. If your home is in poor repair, not only will that put some buyers off but it will also bring the price down. By renovating your home windows you can encourage people to be interested in your property, because there’s not as much expensive work to e done. If you’re trying to sell a house on for a profit then you should be careful when deciding which improvements to make, ideally you want to spend as little as possible while adding as much to your house value as possible.
No matter which improvements you plan to make on your home it will involve a lot of effort on your part. This means it’s very important to make sure you’re doing the right renovations in order to add as much value to your home as possible.

The idea of organic livestock is one that has really captured the attention of people. Stories of cattle being given large amounts of steroids and additives in order to bulk them up has people worried. There are studies that indicate consuming such meat isn’t’ good for you. Yet there are other studies that will tell you it doesn’t matter. Realistically though we live in a society where people are obese and have tons of health concerns. Could it be that the meat consumed plays some role in those factors?
There are ranches in 30 states throughout the USA that grow organic livestock. In addition to cattle they also raise pigs, goats, and sheep. The biggest areas where you will find this taking place are New York, Wisconsin, and California. All of the foods that these animals are fed is organic in nature. There are strict guidelines about what they can be fed that are carefully followed. These ranchers are closely monitored too in order to ensure they don’t cut corners.
The living conditions for these animals must be very similar to what they would experience in the wild. As a result it takes more open space to raise them than in conventional methods where they are jam packed into tight quarters. They have to be closely monitored for illnesses because they aren’t given vaccines or antibiotics.
To help prevent the development of disease and other problems in these types of organic livestock environments they have to take other measures. For example they rotate the locations where the animals are able to graze. The offer them a diet that is free from any types of additives. As a result they animals have a healthy immune system to fight off illness. Any animal that may seem ill is quarantined and inspected so that it can’t spread any illness to the rest of the livestock.
Keeping the living conditions very clean is a huge part of this type of organic livestock raising. Without that being in place the risk of bacteria or disease developing would be too great. By making sure the basic needs of these animals are continually met the overall stress levels are reduced too. Many experts believe this can affect the quality of the meat and milk that they produce.
Everything from the care these animals get to how they live until it is time to slaughter them has to be carefully considered. There are stick guidelines in place and the goal is also to offer them a humane place to live while they are being grown for a source of food. The growth process though is one that takes place naturally instead of being speed up and enhanced by man made processed.
In addition you will also be able to find lots of organic dairy products. They include milk, cheese, yogurt, and butter. There are large dairy farms in California and New York where these cows are maintained for the sole purpose of producing milk. It is carefully processed to taste great but without all of the additives that our bodies really don’t benefit from.
Finding locations where you can buy organic meat becomes easier all the time. Many grocery stores now offer a nice supply of it due to the demand. You may have to ask around for it in your area. Make sure you read labels to find that which is at least 95% organic but try to get your hands on products that are 100% organic. This way you can enjoy the meat you eat and not have to worry about various types of additives found in them.

Among the tourist sites surrounding Hanoi, the Bat Trang pottery village with 500 or more years of history, is an ideal place to visit, attracting a large number of people from the city – and foreign tourists. Slow and steady: Japanese visitors enjoy a buffalo cart tour around the pottery village.
Just 14km from central Hanoi, the village is easily reached by motorbike – the most popular transport means in Vietnam.

If you’re too lazy to drive yourself or are not game to sit on the back of a xe om or hired motorbike, you can catch a bus at Long Bien Bus Station.
This way takes three times as long, but it’s so cheap! Tickets only cost VND3,000 – about US$0.10. The bus will take you to the village pottery market, where more than 100 stalls present tens of thousands of ceramic and pottery products.
The items include fine celadon from an ancient tradition and other great examples of ceramic arts and crafts. The high quality porcelain is decorated with dragons and phoenix, flowers and images of people and landscapes, all reflecting daily and spiritual activities in Vietnam.
Visitors can spend several hours just browsing among the endless little shops, each with different wares produced in a different family kiln.
According to the head of the market management board, Tran Quoc Viet, the market welcomes a large number of visitors every weekend.
A group of middle-age women look happy with heavy sedge bags containing pottery products they bought in the market.
“Although my family has every household product, sometimes I and other neighbours call each other and go to the village. It’s the way we unwind,” a woman cheerfully said.
For these women, beautiful ceramic objects, mostly at surprisingly affordable prices, are the main attraction. “I’ve bought a charming vase with the lotus motifs for just VND20,000,” another woman said.
Thuy Linh, a grade-10 student, said she sometimes went to Bat Trang with a group of her friends. “Unlike other people who usually buy ceramic household products, we only pick up cute stationary or ceramic jewellery,” she said.
“I’ve just bought a black-and-white Japanese Monokuro Boo pig, plus a keyholder with the ceramic initial ‘L’, the first character of my name, carved on it. My friend bought a wind chime and a cute piggy bank,” she said.
There’s more than just searching among the stalls, tourists can also experience pottery artists a work – on the spinning wheel, painting objects when they dry or loading up the kilns.
Visitors can also make their own cups, dish, bowl, vase or animal – and they will receive the finished, fired product within a few days. Many villagers offer this service for VND10,000 to 30,000, depending on the size of product. “I relived my childhood when fiddling with a piece of clay,” said Tuan Nam, a first-year student.
Recently, a new and relaxing way to see Bat Trang has been offered. A buffalo cart takes tourists around the village.
According to Nguyen Minh Hai, director of the Minh Hai Ceramic Company, who offers this first-ever service in the village, most who tour the village this way felt relaxed and interested because they could view the scenery at their leisure.
“The idea of using a buffalo cart to carry tourists was initiated when I went to Japan looking for business opportunities for our products. I realised the buffalo was easily recognised as a symbol of Vietnam – a rice producing country. So why not use ranches animals to transport tourists around the village?” he said.
Before starting their cart journey, tourists are shown the way ceramic products are made in a workshop. Teams of young men and women work on production lines, baking, sanding and painting.
A journey around the village, a distance of about 2km, takes an hour. The price ranges from VND50,000 to 100,000 depending on the duration of the tour and how many stops are made. There are two buffalo carts working in the village, providing tours for about 100 visitors a day.

The following is an account from my diary, Thursday 19th November 2009.
At about 9:00pm on 19th November 2009, after visiting my friend at Ijegun, I was driving to Mile 2 on the Ikotun – Ejigbo road when I suddenly observed that I had a flat tyre, just close to the Synagogue bus-stop, of the ever popular Synagogue Church of all Nations, the church headed by the controversial Prophet TB Joshua.
While trying to fix the tyre as quickly as possible so as to get home and observe my rest for the day in preparation for the next day’s job and activities, I observed that a large crowd had gathered at the gate of the church. They were shouting at the top of their voices and hailing the hero of the recently concluded FIFA U17 world cup in Nigeria, Sani Emmanuel and his team mate Ogenyi Onazi. I had previously read an article and also an interview granted by Sani Emmanuel, where he declared that he was an altar boy at the Synagogue, and so I was not completely surprised. As the shouting persisted, I decided to have a close look to know exactly what the crowd was cheering at.
On getting there, I noticed that the two Eaglets were posing with some persons who were gathered inside the beautiful water fountain outside the church entrance, for photograph shots. The crowd’s enthusiasm increased when the much sought after and highly criticized Prophet TB Joshua joined the gathering in the photo shots. On seeing the large crowd that was on the increase as the each second went by, the Prophet invited everyone of the crowd to come into the church premises and have an opportunity to see the boys live and direct.
Once inside the auditorium, the crowd continued to build up, as expectations grew. TB Joshua started interacting with the crowd and sampling the opinions of individuals concerning the performance of Sani Emmanuel and Ogenyi Onazi in the competition. Those who stood up to speak were full of praises for the duo for their contribution to the success of the team. They also prayed for both of them to get the nod of top European football clubs like Manchester United, Chelsea Fc, Arsenal Fc, etal, and get signed into their team.
Then came the moment that all were waiting patiently for; Sani Emmanuel and Ogenyi Onazi walked into the auditorium to join the ecstatic crowd. Dressed in the official playing kits of the National football teams of Nigeria, they both thanked the crowd for their support and prayers during the tournament, and asked for more prayers as they believe that there are still more hurdles to cross in the quest for the peak of their careers.
After the speech and greetings by the duo, Prophet TB Joshua thanked the crowd for their support and ordered that they all be provided with refreshment before they would leave the premises. Cold drinks were immediately served to each person in the auditorium. Just as we were all beginning to thank Prophet TB Joshua for his kind gestures, he dropped what was to be the biggest surprise of the day; announcing that every member of the crowd would get the sum of N500 before leaving the premises. The crowd went wild on hearing this and showered praises and prayers on the Prophet.
I went home with my N500, and the drink that I had. It was nice to have an opportunity to meet the duo just after they awed the world. And it was good to meet Prophet TB Joshua for the first time. I know that the money might not be a big deal for me, but I considered the people in the crowd, who perhaps had no idea where their next meal would come from, having the opportunity to get the sum of N500 just because they were fortunate enough to be there at the time.

The red palm oil is a common ingredient in the cooking of almost every type of dish prepared in Nigeria. It is never missing in the kitchen of every Nigerian, and maybe every African. This edible vegetable oil is conspicuously displayed for sale in the African markets and shops in bottles and plastic containers. When we see them, we hardly think of the source and how is came to the market.
The palm oil, after many years are still processed by hand. Only a few large scale oil processing companies are in production of this veritable source of oil for cooking in Nigeria. Akwa Ibom state, a coastal state in south eastern Nigeria is one of the areas in Nigeria where oil in large quantities are produced. This processing is a common vocation and trade of the women of Akwa Ibom State.
It is an area with an abundance of diverse agricultural products. Over 85% of the indigenes live in the rural areas and almost 90% of these are engaged in one form of agricultural activity or the other. It is also one of the areas where the oil palm tree (Elaeis Guinaensis) thrives. It is a predominant feature in the landscape of this area. There are different species widely spread throughout the southern part of Nigeria. It is of economic value to the indigenes of this area and most commonly cultivated for its commercial benefit. The oil palm tree is an economic crop highly values by its owners whether in plantations or simply cultivated in small numbers. Oil palm trees are most commonly cultivated and processed for its oil (edible), soap, mat, fiber etc.
The ownership of the oil palm tree by the people of Akwa Ibom is highly regarded due to its cash crop value. People who own oil palm trees treasure them accordingly. Though there were quite a number of large plantations in the 60s and 70s, most of these have been run down or no more in production. However it is commendable that a few entrepreneurs and government agency have delved into oil palm plantation and oil processing, but the bulk of the oil produced in this state is still predominantly produced by the rural dwellers, the women.
In view of the above, small scale oil palm owners depend on their small farm cultivations to supplement the large vegetable oil market locally and nationally, too. This method of vegetable oil processing is still basically manual, basically by hand.
The processing of the fruits into vegetable oil is most commonly carried out by women. It begins with harvesting the ripe fruits which grows in clusters weighing between 20-30 Kilogrammes. The women work communally in groups of 2 or 3 either from either a single family or with neighbours or even paid helps. 10-20 bunches of ripe fruit from the palm tree are cut and gathered. The harvested fruits are then cut into smaller clusters and sprinkled with water, and then, covered with thick jute bags or banana leaves to aid fermentation and make it easy for the seeds to be picked easily from its spiky stalks.
Two or three days after, the seeds are picked, washed and packed in to iron drums and boiled. This process is tedious. Fire kindled from gathered fire-wood is usually prepared a night before and at intervals, rekindled to keep the fire cooking constantly hot. As early as 4 or 5 a.m. the boiled seeds whose fleshy pericarp has become soft and tender are scooped with a small basket or sieve bowl into an earth dug-out mortar, which has been fitted with a metal drum. The boiled seeds are then pounded with a wooden pestle to separate the fleshy pericarp from its hard kernel seeds.
The next stage involves scooping this mixture onto a flat trough or onto the ground which had been covered with banana leaves. The kernel seeds are then separated from the fibrous mash. This is then scooped into a cylindrical hollow press. The spoke wrench is then turned slowly and gradually, as this is being done, the extracted oil from the holes in the press is guided through a duct at the bottom of the press into a large bowl, trough or container. This process is carried out several times until oil is drained from the marshy mixture.
The next stage is carefully draining the oil into containers; in doing so, the women are careful not to allow dirt, fiber or other foreign matter into the oil. The finished product if in large quantity may be further stored in larger metal drums awaiting buyers who come to buy them off these women and transported to other towns. If the oil is not so large in quantity they are then taken to the local market for sale; either way, the Akwa Ibom woman earns her money. Though the process is tedious, the oil is top quality if processed by an experienced producer.
I then ask; with

1. Pick a salon with a good reputation and ask for a stylist who specializes in your type of hair, or choose one based on what you’ve heard.
2. Schedule a consultation, for which the salon shouldn’t charge you.
3. Make sure the salon looks clean and orderly.
4. Find out as much as you can about that particular stylist, including how long he or she has been in business and what products he or she prefers.
5. Evaluate the stylist’s own hair to see if it’s well styled and healthy-looking.
6. Note whether the stylist asks appropriate questions about your hair history and how much time you’re willing to spend styling your hair. (A stylist who isn’t willing to take the time to get to know you and your hair isn’t for you!)
7. Choose a hairstylist with self-confidence.
A confident stylist will make your feel confident about how you look.
When someone cuts your hair with an air of authority, you immediately sense the stylist knows what he/she is doing and that makes you relax and go with the flow. As your tension disappears, so does your doubt. Nothing is worse than walking out of a salon afraid to take your hat off because your hairstylist was so unsure of his/her efforts that it left you feeling doubtful and uncertain.
Don’t pay good money for a bad experience like that!
The “Straight Razor” Test Want to get some good reconnaissance on a stylist? Ask him or her to show you their straight razor. If the razor isn’t in their tool belt or on their station ready for use…or if it has a guard on it…turn and go.
Why? Because someone whose essential tools are sitting and gathering dust probably isn’t doing a lot of business and isn’t serious about the business he/she is doing. It’s like hiring a plumber who says, “Oops, sorry. I don’t have a spoke wrench in my toolkit.”
No, razor “test for good information about the barber? Ask him or her to show you their razor. If not razor ISN 'on their tool belt or on their station ready for use … Or if it continues … Turns to go. Why? As someone whose essential tool and dust are likely ISN not to do many things ISN not serious about the business he / she does. It 's like hiring a plumber who says,' Oops, sorry. I do not know / no need for a key in my Toolkit. “

However it is commendable that a few entrepreneurs and government agency have delved into oil palm plantation and oil processing, but the bulk of the oil produced in this state is still predominantly produced by the rural dwellers, the women.

In view of the above, small scale oil palm owners depend on their small ranches cultivations to supplement the large vegetable oil market locally and nationally, too.

The ratchet wrench is then turned slowly and gradually, as this is being done, the extracted oil from the holes in the press is guided through a duct at the bottom of the press into a large bowl, trough or container. This process is carried out several times until oil is drained from the marshy mixture.

The next stage is carefully draining the oil into containers; in doing so, the women are careful not to allow dirt, fiber or other foreign matter into the oil. The finished product if in large quantity may be further stored in larger metal drums awaiting buyers who come to buy them off these women and transported to ot
